Yes, it's true even I can reach a breaking point. I have reached that with my job. As mentioned Friday, it's been nonstop work...no play. Well, finally my body revolted last night in a violent way. I'll spare you the details but let's just say I lost my marbles:-/ However, it didn't matter because I knew I had to go to work anyway to finish a project of which NO one else in my department can do....it involves having clearance. So I went and finished...not sure how accurate but it's done.

This past weekend I also worked all weekend. Worked till 9:30 on Friday, another 6 1/2 hours on Saturday and had to go to DC on Sunday. Not fun and not good when your body is running on fumes as it is. Yes I may be whining but it's my blog:-p

Anyway, hopefully things will get better. Fortunately it's the off season but it's still not something that I plan to become consistant.

So I suppose I'll finish with this...as Phil has tagged me to fill out a meme.

  • >Fortunately it's the off season
At first I thought you were referring to work here and I thought, "Geez....what does your schedule look like when work's in full swing?" Sorry you're sick. I hope you're feeling better soon.
    • hahaha...yeah that would be really bad if this was "offseason" of work. I think it will be a bit better soon and I've decided to take the day off from work today to let my body fully refuel. Thanks for the well wishes...I think its just my body's way of saying sllllloooooow down,
      • heh...and just as you listen to your body during all your training runs, so should you pay attention in the off-season :)
  • What did you think of Nagoya? I spent about four days there during my two-week tour of Japan to watch the July sumo tournament (one of six major competitions in the calendar year). I enjoyed it quite a bit.
    • I loved it! I got to stay with a host family so I got the full experience. One of those things that is good to do when you're not in the work force because you need a whole lot of time to experience the full realm of Japan:)
  • If you think your job is bad try med school. I sleep maybe 5 hours a night and study between 8-10 hours a day. If you're sick you still need to be in class, just bring the IV stand if you have to. I'm sure you read my stuff from time to time anyway. 8-)
  • hang in there!! i've been there too, when the job gets overwhelming and you're the only one that can do a certain job...hopefully there is a light at the end of the tunnel for you soon. feel better-hope you enjoyed the day off :)
